We have an IRC channel now - this is actually meant to replace the Steam chatroom, as there are people who can't use Steam.

What is IRC?

IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat" and is about as old as the 'net itself. You download an IRC client and use it to connect to a server (our server is Peachpunk), then join any variety of chatrooms hosted on that server. Generally speaking, it's a no-frills chatting program that is usually fairly simple to use, despite the inherently complex appearance of some of the programs used to connect.

Server and Chatroom Info

Server: irc.peachpunk.com
Channel: #tf2 (for general chatter/goofing off) and #tf2rp (for RPing and RP commentary)

IRC Clients/Programs

The most common IRC client is mIRC:
http://www.mirc.com/

If you're not fond of mIRC, or want something with a walkthrough, there's LeafChat:
http://www.leafdigital.com/software/leafchat/

While LeafChat does have a Mac version, I prefer Colloquy:
http://colloquy.info/

If you'd like to avoid downloading a program (or are unable to do so):
http://www.mibbit.com/chat/ - Peachpunk is not in the dropdown. Click "server" beside it and manually fill in irc.peachpunk.com, your nickname, and the chatroom, then ask essay writers.

Universal IRC Commands

Action commands: To get the action text (like "• Fredric sobs") type /me ACTION <p>
